Rooted in the concept of a modern apothecary, each MALIN+GOETZ location is uniquely designed, drawing inspiration from the cultural heritage of the local neighborhood in which it resides. our new apothecary reflects the freeing, inclusive, and relaxed nature of this destination beach town.
Designed in partnership with @bernheimer_architecture, the apothecary was inspired by los angeles’ long-established history as the center of the film industry, identifying iconic moments in cinema. upon entering, customers will be greeted by a sweeping central island in pale green terrazzo, a subtle nod to the upscale gin joint in Casablanca. natural oak wall displays complement the serene tone of the concrete floor and islands, creating both an opportunity to socialize + relax while indulging in a shopping experience.
